  1. I wanted to bring up a topic - skill types! Skills in this game are split across different types, most notably in utility skills. Examples of these include shouts, traps, mantras, stances as well as class specific skill types such as kits (engineer) or commands (ranger).

Which skill types, across the board, do you think are the best and most balanced? Which are your favourite flavor wise? Which do you like the least? Which tend to be most boring? Which are hardest to balance? Feel free to answer any thoughts on them that you have, and tell what kind of skill types you'd like to see used more in the future for new elite specs, and which you think deserve some rework.

I always found signets to be rather... complicated as far as gameplay goes. The concept of passive and active effects is nice and there is a lot of trait synergy to be had, but for the longest time there's been little to no reason to activate most signets. I think the balance of play between using a signet actively vs passively has been hard to achieve. It seems most signets will either only be taken for their active effect, or passive effect. Rarely both.

My favourite skill type is probably stances (weaver, soulbeast, warrior). They offer fun and varied gameplay options and are the keystone of many builds especially in the competitive game modes. My favourites conceptually, however, are probably conjured weapons as well as kits. Lot of fun new toys to play around with. I am also a huge fan of glyphs and hope to see more of them in the future.

One of the most underused but interesting skill types to me are wards - specific to guardian.

    What are your thoughts?

Here are all the skill types:

  2. The title basically explains it!

So, in original Guild Wars you have this prestige title called God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals which you can only acquire by completing loads of title tracks related to GW1. It's pretty much one of the biggest goals you can go for.

GW2 has many titles, some harder to get than others, but nothing universal that ties all the aspects of the game together. GW2 title system also works rather differently from the GW1 one. What do you think a GW2 GWAMM would be called, and what would it require to get?

I did it with a minute spare time. I suggest not going for mindless raid dps rotations but actually thinking about your strategies a bit better.

  4. I would also note that some of the Destroyer names were very interesting. Destroyer of the Great Bridge, Destroyer of Ironhammer Line.

Phlunt also notes that there is no Mordremoth or Zhaitan magic present in Primordus' minions and suspects it is due to Primordus learning new ways of harnessing it.

    > Titles are bad KP, they can be bought with ease and won't reflect anyone's skill (especially in the case of titles similar to LNHB or the new undying title, where you can get carried by bringing more healers).

    > KP is not an accurate indicator of skill, however, it's the best that people had. I don't think it's discriminatory, everyone has the same chances to acquire said KP and are free to join any groups with the KP that they had. It was literally the easiest solution to the issue that is the lacking LFG system that doesn't give you any idea of anyone's actual skill without using items that can be count as KP. This is an issue in GW2, since a lot of people would rather join groups of their skill level with ease, than join a group of lower skill level and have to do more work for their rewards and for the content.

Faked KP does not reflect a person's skill, either. I reckon the percentage of people faking KP is similar to those buying their titles.
