It depends on the gathering tools you use. For instance, the Unbound Magic set gathers more at once per "strike", so that can be confusing if you are not used to it. ;)

  2. **List of suggestions:**

    1. Black background and white text is just as bad for the eyes as a white blackground with dark text (good thing the text is grey, not black, because that is less of a contrast and thus better for the eyes).

    2. Ideal would be if the background had grey grain added or was a little darker (light grey, for instance).

    3. I like the new sections, much tidier now.

    4. The avatars are **too blurry** (tiny images scaled up), please replace with nicer versions.

    5. Make it possible to link to a specific post via anchor.

    6. The generally large layout is not my thing, especially since web designers can add a function that detects what kind of a device you are using. Mobile device = larger layout (higher readability), PC monitors = smaller layouts (or else there is too much unneccessary scrolling).

    7. Please remove the thumbs-down feature. IMO, that only invites animosity and can be abused by trolls.

Uhm, well. Yes, they do -- although one could say they switched from ugly trenchcoats to generally weird looking armor design (futuristic/spacey, over-designed, IMO ugly).

  4. I finished my legendary weapon of the same name a few weeks ago and felt inspired to refresh my lore knowledge, as it has been a while since I played GW1:

    https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Flameseeker_Prophecies

These things in particular caught my attention:

    > “The scriptures speak of the walking dead.”

    > “The war against the divine will begin soon. We must prepare ourselves.”

    > “An opening will be given to the disciples of the Unseen.”

    > “Long into the Season of the Scion, Tyria is revived again.”

There is the reference to “an opening” (the Door of Komalie). The reference somehow reminded me of the unstable rifts we have been encountering all across Tyria…

“War against the divine” (Balthazar), “the walking dead” (the Risen). “The Season of the Scion”, although back in the days of no such meaning, now instantly made me think of Glint’s scion, Aurene.

Also, there is the fact that the weapon’s precursor is named after those sacrificed by the White Mantle to the Mursaat, The Chosen. But this is also the name by which Glint addressed us in GW1 (“You are the Chosen I have been waiting for.”).

So, do you think a second Flameseeker Prophecy could be upon us?

    After all,

    * The Scepter of Orr has recently re-emerged, through Livia, which played a huge role in the original Flameseeker Prophecies.

    * The Shining Blade have become a secret society which hides persons from the GW1 story-line in their midst.

    * Glint, through her offspring Aurene, is playing a role in the current events.

    * Balthazar represents and (figuratively speaking) breathes fire (like the Titans did) and is on a journey to re-establish his powers. So you could say he is a “Flameseeker”.

    * We are on our way into the desert. Will we have to ascend, like our ancestors, in order to defeat the rogue god?

    * A bit far fetched, but is it possible that Balthazar could seek out the Titans in an attempt to absorb their powers as well?

  5. How about all chest armor pieces, whose length goes beyond the waist, have an option added where you can cut off (i.e., deactivate) the lower part of the armor piece where the waist line of the pants starts?

    **Example:** Aetherblade Medium Jerkin

**Further Examples:** (looks that I would like to see)

I know that the “cutting-off” mechanic already exists, as many boots that are worn with certain pieces of leg armor are cut off from the ankle upward.

    **Example:** Stately Footwear boots --> ![](https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/242958/02_stately-boots.jpg "")

P.S. I am aware that this is not doable with every “trenchcoat” model, but there are plenty with whom it could work.

Why would you want to thumbs down someone for posting valid criticism? Is it that horrid to have people not liking everything they are been given? Must people be scared now to post their honest opinion on something?

This is the very reason why the thumbs-down feature must go.
