  1. Hi!

I just realized that I already have both support Herald and Renegade builds thanks to my support FB that I use on Fractals (all use full harrier and same sigils/runes). I don't play as Rev too much and I don't know how to play or how good Support Rev builds are. Are they good on Fractals or good only for Raids (which I don't play)? Are they harder to be played compared to support FB?

  2. I only think they should add a small healing on staff 1 (something like trident 1) and the staff would be in a great spot as support weapon. The damage is really low, but at least isn't bad as used to be.

The small healing could be on the 2nd chain (up to 3 targets) and 3rd chain (up to 5 targets). Same healing as trident 1 (both base and scaling).

I agree the LB need some changes. The LB will still be not worth using at PvE.

    This is staff 2.

  5. # Guardian

    * Wave of Wrath: This skill has been reworked into a ranged multipart autoattack.

    * Bolt of Wrath: Fire a bolt that damages foes.

    * Searing Light: Fire a projectile that explodes on impact, damaging enemies in a radius of 120.

    * Seeking Judgment: Fire a homing projectile that explodes on contact, damaging enemies in a radius of 180.

    * Orb of Wrath: This skill has been reworked into a ground-targeted ranged attack and has been renamed Holy Strike. Holy Strike marks an area for judgment, rapidly healing allies and then blasting foes in the area. This skill has a radius of 240 and an 8-second cooldown.

    * Empower: Might duration has been increased from 10 seconds to 12 seconds. This skill is no longer split between game modes and will now use the 100% increased base healing value from PvP in all game modes.

    * Mighty Blow: The damage dealt by this skill has been increased by 20% in PvE only.

    * Signet of Courage: Reduced the passive healing multiplier on this skill by 70%, and reduced the passive base heal value by 75%. The passive healing will now pulse every 3 seconds instead of every 10 seconds.

    * Perfect Inscriptions: Clarified the tooltip to include the duration the signets' passive effects are shared with allies.

    * True Shot: The damage of this skill has been increased by 10% in PvE only.

    * Defender's Dogma: Blocking attacks now reduces the cooldown of Spear of Justice by 3 seconds (to a limit of no more than once every 3 seconds) in addition to its current effect.

    * Shield of the Avenger: Increased the shield dome duration from 4 seconds to 5 seconds.

    * Bow of Truth: Increased the radius of this skill by 50%.

    * Sword of Justice: This skill now applies cripple for 3 seconds in addition to its other effects.

  6. Keep in mind that you might not have a perfect composition sometimes, so you would actually lose DPS in these cases. Also, depending on Mesmer, you might not have 100% uptime on Retaliation.

I run 100% berserk stats build and I have no problem with survivability (I only run on PUGs). But if you want, you can use the editor to adjust the amount of stats you want. I made a simulation based on what you said (Ret +50%, fury +20%, +10% on burning, +11% from potion = 91%, so you need ~+9%):

    http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vVAQNAR7PWiHM59X/bBaVCyXRqqAQDoeB-jFSBQBUSVFRq87K7PwIlgP4iAYJ1KAwTAQP6GIFQET2A-w

This build will only work with 100% retaliation, fury and burning uptime.

I do not recomend to use toughness stats because there is no POWER (primary) / toughness (secondary) / ferocity (secondary) combination, so you would actually lose DPS on Cavalier (TOUGHNESS/power/ferocity) even with symbolic avenger trait.

Also, if you are the only source of retaliation you can run Virtues instead of Zeal and lose no DPS for a lot of utility because Virtues allows a lot more retaliation uptime (this on a full berserk build, might need to be adjusted for specific group composition).

Overall, I recomend a full berserk build since it can work in any group composition. If you have survivability problems you can make some valkyrie and slowly change to berserk until used to DH.

  7. I believe the real problem is not the Perfect Inscriptions, but the Inner Fire trait (gain Fury when you hit something with 3 or more stacks of burning). The main problem for me it overlaps too much with Right-Hand Strength (which is a better option because can stack with fury). Neither a power build or a condi build may want to take Perfect Inscriptions trait, but a support build may want.

To take Wrath of Justice with Perfect Inscriptions is actually interesting for a support build to provide CC and share condi and power damage from the signets. But there is no support trait avaliable on major adept. To change Inner Fire trait into AoE fury (240 range?) could be actually interesting for support builds. Or just revamp completely into a new support trait that is related to damage.

  8. Considering that Guard already ahve a spec for power (DH) and condition (FB), I hope the next elite spec to focus on healing and is able to compete with Druids, the Firebrand support can't compete with. For a healer, I think that Mace off-hand makes more sense. Or a short bow as well, but I prefer they to fix staff to be more viable as ranged support weapon.

    > But if it does crit it will do bigger dps, no? And also, if torch doesn't crit it it will do less damage. I dont think we can compare critical hit to a non critical hit scenario. Is there any link to actual comparison of the two?

I tested with 100% crit chance to compare torch with the new focus (Full Power/Precision/Ferocity with retal traits). Torch did about the same damage because of the burning that it has, also, torch 4 have 15 sec CD and Focus 4 have 20 sec CD. So torch is better in this comparison. The only thing that Focus is better is the 5 that actually could be used on combat to increase damage (but you can't get hit 3 times until it triggers) and Torch 5 is basically useless.

In the end, torch 4 > focus 4, but focus 5 > torch 5. I need more testing to see how it works on real scenario (in my case, Fractals).

In other words the change was meaningless for PvE. But it might got worst on PvP and WvW because it lost the blind and condi removal. Sadness.

  11. Hey.

I wonder if Power Warrior is in a good place now. I was playing as Warrior on the living episode and I found a good DPS (axe/axe) on full exotics.

Is it good on t4 Fractals? What weapons/traits/utilities to use?

    Thanks for the help.

  12. With today patch, would this build be good on Fractals T4?

    key changes:

    * Healer’s Retribution: Increased the duration of the retaliation granted by this trait from 5 seconds to 8 seconds. This trait will no longer trigger when Mantra of Solace is cast; the player will continue to gain retaliation when using the subskills.

How much DPS would I lose compared with DPS meta builds (Both DH and FB)?

Its been a while that I don't play (few months), I got bored playing meta builds, but I don't want to pull my party down just to play different.

  13. The old hammer build was Zeal/Honor/DH, and I think its still beter to take Zeal over Radiance. I would take Scepter+Torch as ranged option without losing too much damge and IMO the Shield makes no sense in this build, but you should use what makes you more confortable.

I'd say that is not worth to take Radiance because how hard it is to get retal with this build. So I'd take Zeal instead for more DPS increase.

This on full zerker, of course.

    > Clearly Quickfire isn't intended to be an actual trait, but a black hole of nerfs obstructing some actually useful, but unselectable trait.

They need to replace Quickfire with something else. Now this trait is just worthless just like Stoic Demeanor.
