  1. It's kind of pointless to swap in combat except maybe for P/P into P/S or Rifle into Hammer. Kits define you as much as the weapon you wield.

Also, let me tell you something, I have the opposite experience concerning weapon swap. I've done pretty much nothing but Engineer in these last 8 years and the idea of swapping weapons with a 10s cooldown makes me frown when I've been juggling between up to 4 kits at will to find what I'm looking for. It's bearable on Warrior due to the reduction to 5s but that's it.

  2. I'm tired of polls. I'll say this though: Sustain should have been something very limited since the beginning of this game, being tanky is one thing but everyone should die after a while, give a proper base ratio between tankiness and damage for all contenders to have the same fighting chance nonetheless and have actual dedicated healers be at risk for their capabilities instead of being immortal. Immortal healers have been a plague in too many games already. Take a hit, sure, but not over 70 hits.

  3. 1 - Corona Burst is likely your main source of explosions along with Grenade Barrage.

2 - It's nice but not entirely crucial, you'll definitely lose DPS trying to maintain it.

3 - Eclipse is "meta" because it's the one configuration that affects the skills the least. Heat Generation may be troublesome with the Storm configuration but most importantly: You'll shoot explosive projectiles even in melee range and it messes up your cleaving abilities pretty badly., it also seems to cap the attack speed somehow. Zephyr could be nice though some people have a benefit having swiftness instead of super speed.

  4. I work both ways. I set my mind to something and browse the entire wardrobe and dyes to find what matches.

Then once in a while I stumble on a piece of equipment or weapon that would be cool to use and try to find a match around it browsing the wardobe.

The introduction of aetherblade and magitech armor in 2013 gave me the opportunity to make a heavy looking engineer, before the very recent additions the boots and gloves were dredge to best match the overall bulk and textures. It was my rifle grenade celestial build a long time ago, now turned to condi ops and is pretty much what I look like most of the time.

PoF armor designs and birthday items allowed some opportunities out of my comfort zone, but the trigger was that nice Falchion, I had to use it. The set has a very obscure reference to a user of such a weapon, well traveled yet not worn out.

Lastly... The legendaries, I rarely chase them beyond collection, I've made one exception though. I just couldn't look like this:

And not have a HMS Divinity.

Oh, and speaking of hidden gems, I probably couldn't have made that sleek looking warrior without these magnificent whisper shoulderpads.

    Sorry for the delay.

    -Gas mask

    -Aetherblade Shoulders

    -Magitech Chest

    -Etherbound Gloves

    -Leystone Leggings

    -Etherbound Greaves

    -Legion Jetpack

Colored in Ash, Abyss, and Adobe Sunset for the most part.

It's about as "heavy" as I could get without being ridiculous.

    > And on the subject of Grenade Kit, I've been using that lately on a new core Power build I'm trying out and I'm rather surprised at how OP Explosive Entrance + Flash Bang are. So far no one has complained about it but I could see it becoming a subject of debate in the future. Daze + Blind that can crit 3 - 4k on top of how ever much the attack it's paired with is doing is kind of crazy. I hit a few people with some 7k Shrapnel Grenades with the actual Grenades doing only like 3k and the rest from Explosive Entrance.

Oh the debate has already started. It's just that specs such as Firebrand are acting like a lightning rod at the moment, too much noise concealing the few complaints about the potential Explosive Entrance abuse, and mostly daze, not the damage itself.

Even at closer ranges. The shells are pretty much slower than I am when chasing people with superspeed. Price to pay for laying that many fields I guess.

Used to it or pretending to be used to it? I'm pretty sure none of them will like another "shave". A thread like this is kind of a sign that they haven't got over it. You can be helpful even though even I am not hopeful for any actual aid in the form of buffs or reworks, or you can make these threads. Sure, the "state of mesmer" discussions have been discussed to death but it's probably better than the alternative.

They honestly deserve that backfire at some point. They're _oh_ so sick and tired of nerf threads yet can't help to meme it out when they're no more. How old can it get.

Initially what I thought, much like the Warrior's stomp. Will probably cause complaints because "holosmith 2 leaps".
