The goal is to have ArenaNet create a toggle option, so that you can disable Aegis visuals. This survey helps to understand to which degree the GW2 community wants the visuals to change. I personally dislike the fact that a huge clipping Aegis covers my off-hand legendary The Binding of Ipos. What do you think? I'd love to know your opinion on this and have some clear answers from the community on this topic.
