  1. Sorry, I can't zoom in for some reason to see what you are talking about. I'll preview the skin when I get home tonight to give you a better answer.
  2. They are part of the skin? I ask because sometimes my graffic's settings eliminate issues I am having with skins when I adjust them up.
  3. If you plan on doing anymore PoF story prepare yourself for several story instances that should have been broken down into two or three instances. I'm really hoping Anet's quality control stops the devs from creating unreasonably long instances in the new expansion. Even better, I hope they add an auto save function so issues like the OP described don't cause a full mission restart.

  5. The price of MC's going up simply means logging in is becoming more profitable. That is awesome! If you want to stick it to the people you think are manipulating the market you can simply not buy them and hold on to the free ones you get logging in. There really isn't a problem here. Just some text walls of people that want to pay less than market value for MC's.
  6. It doesn't matter to me how other players look. I just want more settings that will improve my comp's performance. I can't approach a group of players without my rig having a stroke. I did all the recommendations. Now I want to disable back items and infusions. I have a descent rig too. My other games run great. Just can't disable enough things for a smooth experience around groups.

It would be nice if they had more activity.
  8. > @"Ronin.4501" said: > I say if you want WvW match-up threads, start posting them yourself. Anet hasn't been moderating the WvW forums for at least a few months (based on how long all the "HACKS" threads stay up after servers/guilds/players get called out) and it's been close to a year since the last time I saw a dev even bother to post on the WvW forums. Start your own thread and see if it stays up for the duration of the week!! (I'm betting it will). Just don't be disappointed when you only get a handful of responses from the T1/T2 match-up threads and no responses for the T3/T4 match-up threads. If you read through these forums enough you'll notice it's almost always the same 5-10 players commenting. ;) Trust me, they are moderating the WvW threads ?

I only see it on a desktop, it doesn't show up on my mobile phone. I'm having a hard time replying to your previous posts. Can't find them ? Fair point on the level playing field comment. So annoying that I can't find your previous comment. You posted good info about MC prices...
  11. Literally every player that logs in gets these coins for free. Multiply that by the game's population and you have a HUGE supply without even considering the other acquisition methods. I have a hard time believing this item is being manipulated the way the OP claims.

Most gaming retail shops sell gift cards which can be used to top up your wallet So basically what gem cards already do for existing accounts but more widely available at retail level. I can see the appeal of that.
  13. No to this suggestion. If you want to level the field in WvW you just need to implement the PvP amulet system. This far into the life of the game I doubt that would be received well by most of the community.

That way, GW2 would be like WoW. This really does cover it folks. People forget how nice it is to not pay a monthly sub fee I guess.

Dominion of Winds could be added without playable Tengu but the PC would automatically be an outsider. Playing through the early story line before the Pact arc would be cool imo through the eyes and experiences of a Tengu. I know that doesn't sound like a lot of value for the work involved but it would be huge for some of us. The problem with a new playable race is that it adds massive value to some of us and little to none for others. I think the expansion needs a new playable race and something else that is just as big. This is unrealistic, however. > > > > > > > > > > None of what you've mentioned are dependent on there being a playable race though. There's nothing preventing Anet from dedicating a city and zone map for Tengu nor is there anything preventing them from dedicated some story arcs around the Tengu. We just have to trust that Anet is doing thier research and appeals to as many players as possible with new content. I personally think more people want a new race than don't but there is no way for me to confirm or prove that. All we can do is speculate and agree to disagree on this point. > > It’s not really about whether they want a new race or not but rather their reasons for wanting it. For pretty much every reason that doesn’t have to do with RP, Anet could add to the game without having to deal with the personal/living story implications as well as the costs associated with voicing a new race and updating/creating armor skins for it. I personally want the lore from playing as a Tengu and want to create one from scratch which is why tonics are too limiting. There is so much potential story there. I would be happy with any new race really as long as they add meaningful story with them. I don't really RP independantly of the story anyway. It is a tall order though and at the end of the day I want them to go the route that brings the most success to the game. If that isn't a new race I will be perfectly happy with thier decision.

They're not that alike Norn - their religion and magic are different, as is their societal system. You could do a lot with them. > > > > Don't forget to vote! > > That I did. Surprising nobody, Tengu has a crushing lead. Oh well. If we get a new race then birdmen it is I guess. Honestly I think that is just because of the location of the Dominion of Winds. Many players that want Tengu are standing on the idea that they would be easy to add. While I want Tengu I believe that they, or any race, would be resource intensive to implement.

  19. Sounds like my experience when I first walked into HoT. OP, did you level 80 boost and go there first?

  22. You could add a race in EoD that has a totally different starting story from core and have them "take over" as commander at some point. Or you could have a starting zone for a new race in the core map area only open to players that purchase the expansion that allows that race to have a "commander" from the begining with new starting quests until the pact story arc which is the same for everyone anyway. A Tengu character, for example, could be a rebel to their culture and the personal story could revolve around them trying to get their kinsmen involved in the fight. They simply join the pact after being unsuccessful and the events of EoD could have them or any other races commander succeed in bringing the Tengu as a whole into the fight. There is always a way to bring a new race into play but it would be a lot of work. I, for one, would love to play a new race from begining to end but not everyone will be up for that. I would take my main through EoD first then go back and play as the new race.
