  1. That's my theory atm. Was hoping I just missed something.
  2. And some of those story instances are stupid long to the point that losing someone outside of a boundry meant quitting for a few days!
  3. Same complaint! Was playing with four family members last night and the boundries kept shifting as the story progressed. My job became to keep tabs on everyone instead of enjoying the content ?
  4. I like these ideas. The engineer kits in particular have always bugged me. I have a futuristic looking engineer but his kits lock him into weapon skins that aren't customizable and completely clash with his look. Making them customizable and having some racial options would be welcome.
  5. Cyberpunk sounds like a waste of time and money. I have a perfectly good game right here!
  6. So you could pick one you like. Just one option would stink if you happened to not like it.
  7. It would be best if it was a choice of several cosmetic rewards each time.
  8. Yet when it was stationary before it was popular and widely used...
  9. The special action skill allows for some "secondary class" mechanics. I was a warrior doing a dragon response mission with access to a pet on one run. They could utilize that concept in combination with elite specs to give a secondary class feel. To a large extent, you could argue that elite specs already do that. I think for an elite spec to become a true secondary profession it would have to be available to all 9 classes. While this would be sooooo much fun, balance in competitive modes would make baby Yoda cry.

We had Sorrow's Furnace for the last 2 months, and it was so empty, a lot of our people and guilds quit the game for that time > > They won't come back if we keep getting empty servers for links > > At least make Jade Quarry a link itself to a server with more players, or merge us with a T3/T2 server like Tarnished Coast Is my server really that dead? Well, Sorrow's Furnace will always have at least me! At least until Alliances...

Arenanet has pretty much lost most of their REAL dedicated Fanbase. > They refuse to fix bugs, and don't really communicate or listen to their playerbase at all, so its not really surprising. I hope they can one day change this, the game still has so much potential. All my friends still play! Maybe we're the real fanbase ?
  12. A mount where the player characters don't need to be visible could solve some mechanical issues but the size would still be a problem. I personally like the junundu worms from the desolation but lorewise they cannot travel through rocky terrain.

The Forging Steel is a much better version of thee as it has better scaling and more variety. I don't really think it's the pure length that's the issue, more that they are long and just plain dull - they are just 20-25 mins hp sponge fights and nothing else. Nothing to find, nothing to do and no real rewards > > They need; > - better rewards > - lfg fixed > - either shorter/less hp mobs or same length packed with things to do > - potentially the option of CM in public > - and that Gendarren destroyer boss does not need to spam fire tornado over and over making stability useless > > I'm certainly not against DRMs, but this is really supplimental content. For them to be main content like they are now, they need some reworks While I enjoy them, I do agree they will become dead content quickly if these issues aren't addressed. Very well summarized Randulf!

  15. But I did compare it... for fun really... no, I just did it to bump this thread which is also the reason I am reacting to you ?
  16. Wow, I saw an Arenanet tag and got excited. Can we see this on more threads please? We like to hear from the leaders of our community ?
  17. They just need to get on here and talk about this!
  18. Hang on, PvE is getting the WvW treatment with "Calm in the Storm." You think that wait will last 4 years? ?
  19. Glad I didn't log in today ? Wow, disappointing the story has not continued yet...
  20. > @"Galmac.4680" said: > No, you forgot to mention the 2 scrap stones worth some fanatastic 18 coppers! So just farm your instance daily for about 76 years and you have compensated that 50 gold. No need for complains! Look at that! A built in solution ? Thanks for the warning OP. I will not be investing in this now.
  21. It was very jarring to find out I couldn't progress the story. This was mostly due to the fact that I found myself on the forums, wiki and map chats trying to find out if the game was bugged. They should have been clearer about the nature of this release. I hope, as a whole episode, it is worth the staggered release.

I think the reason they don't show up in the open world is because they are IBS mastery points. They cannot be made available to FTP accounts. If anything they shouldn't be visible on the core maps at all outside of the instances.

Right? Maybe a legendary? Maybe even some rng-free collections? > > No, instead not much story at all. Very short. And with busted scaling. This is from my POV the most disappointing living world release, I can't form an opinion until I see what happens over the next few weeks. I enjoyed the response missions. I wish we had more knowledge about what was still coming but I will just decide to be content waiting for the moment. I hope they don't disappoint and the new way of releasing an episode turns out good. We'll see.
