i just had pretty much the best idea ever

I think we have a broad view of alliances in general but I don't feel we left the conversion a couple of years ago with clear pictures on how multiple guilds would manage their group of individual guilds and how the management of the alliance would work. In particular in forming and dissolving portions of an alliance. We know ANet was planning on auto-filling them to a degree for non-alliance people and guilds, but what about conflict resolution? > > So since it would fill both the role of keeping the question of 'when and what' alive, what is the forum goers picturing and what helped or hindered in the past and what do you see as role of the alliance and how does it management features look like to you? I think I would be more open to brainstorming if the devs say anything. They're absence for so long on this topic does not motivate me to start throwing ideas out for no one but other players to hear. That said, your optimism is a little inspiring. I almost wanted to join in. I hope other players are in a better place with this than me.

It worked from infinite range so you could do funny stuff like hitting an ambient creature then pulling unaware players off of walls. Infinite teleport to friend.
Super Hayes.6890 replied to Silvia.9130's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
If I'm paying cash for this item it must have no cool down. It is useless in its current form. Not like I'll run out of the regular ones anytime soon anyway... I can't imagine there is a way to exploit this item in a way that is worth the effort spent. -

I see they are releasing another chapter in two days why would they not finish the prior two chapters first??? They did announce that voice acting would be added when the new episode releases. It's in the trailer too.

How would you like to travel to Cantha?
Super Hayes.6890 replied to Ogwom.7940's topic in Living World
Also, I would love to travel to Cantha! Having trouble booking a flight though. Seriously though, why wouldn't our characters use airships? Too convenient not to from a lore standpoint but I guess they can write in whatever they want. On the back of a siege turtle would be ideal. -
> @"Fueki.4753" said: > Seeing all those land spears makes me feel this trailer never had any relevance to begin with. > Also, Braham holds his mace with his left hand. Not everything in trailers is meant to be ingame, even if there are players who desire it. This comment about land spears covers it. Pretty sure one of the core map loading screens has a polearm as well. They aren't worried about thier art and promotional materials matching what's in the game. It has always been this way. I feel for the OP though. I wish all GW1 areas were accessable.

Unpopular Opinion? Core Maps As New Content

> @"Randulf.7614" said: > I'm not in favour of adding too much newer stuff to old maps. It just results in a mess. EVentually you end up with many timelines in a single map which is just bizarre Very much this. Instanced content is the best way to utilize old maps. Merged timelines annoys me. -

Can we get Gaile Gray back please?

> @"Astralporing.1957" said: > In a way, my memories are the exact opposite. When i was participating in some important thread and saw the Anet tag, i also always got excited (at least in the beginning...). But then what usually happened afterward is me looking at the Anet post, and realizing there's _absolutely nothing relevant in there_. With the most relevant ones being "this thread got merged" and "we think we saw enough of the feedback, so we're closing the thread". Eventually the excitement wore out. I realized, that all the interactions between Anet at the community were being done only at the most superficial level, and that they simply weren't interested in going any deeper than that. > > The stuff you talk about also has a meaning, but only in addition to the real communication. Not as a substitute to it. True, none of my post was anything but a personal discussion about something relevant to me. Honestly I prefer that over communication about the game. When new content comes out I prefer to have some notice so the roadmaps are fine for me. What is not acceptable is the announcements with unrealistic promises. I'm looking at you Alliances threads. This is why I prefer realistic official announcements every now and then but so much more I want the devs just being people here. -

A thread I started years ago had three devs participate and we were talking about gaming with our children. I miss that side of the company! Thier absence is pretty loud right now. -

Also NCSOFT is searching for something like it but it seems they still don't know what the kitten they are doing. They are searching for Game Support Lead, that kinda sounds like COMUNITY MANAGER but not really. > https://us.ncsoft.com/en-us/careers?sort=department#bellevue > They also don't have game director and marketing manager, so this ship is sailing without a captain, Community manager is the least of their problems ATM. As a player who mains a warrior I have to say I shout very loudly as my avatar hits stuff. For some reason my shouts aren't buffing him at all. Maybe calling myself a bard will fix this...

Why ppl say GW2 is dead? :|

> @"Vavume.8065" said: > The game isn't dead, far from it, you only have to play some end game meta events or world bosses to see it. This. We are out there but we are likely congregating in certain places due to map meta schedules or specific events for collections or rewards. Sometimes I roam for fun and join up with whoever I come accross. I never fail to find other players when doing this. This game is set up well for social interaction when you want it and solo play when you don't. Welcome to the community OP! I am one of the players that's been playing since beta without taking breaks and I love this game. I hope you enjoy it too. Imo it is not dead.
