When do you think we will see servers fighting in tiers again?

Sounds like OP is talking about how some blob servers refuse to ppt so they can stay in lower tiers fighting doors and forces half their size. Yes, it would be nice to see the 3 biggest stacks forced to fight in the same tier, but since alliances are never coming, I don't expect a shakeup happening anytime soon. So, wvw is what it is. At this point, they should just remove scoring from the game, and let kills determine the winner of the match. While there are servers that will likely throw free kills at the enemy to stay in lower tiers that will be far more amusing than super-stacks who only fight on EB, ignore their BL and everyone else's BL, so they tick low while the other 2 servers tick higher and win even though they shouldn't.

First of all, I’m quoting the devs. If you have an issue with what they say then take it up with them. Second, the only things elementary are the facts that populations naturally decline over time, players change servers which causes more imbalances, and the devs can’t force players to log in to play so every server is even at every point of every day. Somehow you missed those elementary facts, and would rather blame the devs for the human factor and act as if there is some easy coding fix that magically make humans log in and play every moment of every day... Third, another elementary fact is that no match up will ever be “balanced” population wise in a mode that runs 24/7. When someone logs in it’s either less or more balanced during their play time, but no wvw match will ever be perfectly balanced at all times. WvW isn’t like spvp were teams are capped a 5 each, wvw has a ton of variables to it. It is like putting an end to discussion once you fall back to dev arguments because they put a stop to posts related to it. So, let's discuss it with something else, like your own personal experience. Your guild's stand. Your own server's opinion.

Imo. The cause was game fixing. Server a and b would conspire to win and the 3rd one has no choice but feel 2v1. And devs got wind of it

 

Hence why players are now rotated thru links. So you don't have permanent alliances.

 

But game fixing will never disappear because there are guilds who focus on getting all the achieves. They will plant.people and learn and train to get that result.

Now that the game has all the rewards bonuses and makes things easier, they can return the format . Why? Wvw itself is a standalone farm area. It's like a pve pk zone and each location is a mini raid.

They would have to remove all transfering to bring back server pride and all that. Pretty unlikely given how much of a money maker re-link transfers turned out to be. Meaning people would continue to flock to the top server while leaving the lower tiers more empty than ever.

Issue is not transfer but the theme. A theme guides the over all plan of the game. We've always had transfers before and it was fun.
