Cannonbeard.6350
Hello, i recently re-installed guild wars 2 but the launcher seems to keep downloading the same file endlessly. I have tried all fixes posted in this discussion: https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/106098/launcher-keeps-downloading#latest After re-installing 2 times i'm still having this issue. ![](https://i.imgur.com/kpvtO6q.png "") Here is a log; 00000598: Perf: Build 103632 00000598: Perf: 2020-05-22T18:36:15Z 00000598: Perf: Platform 1 00000605: Perf: Archive has version 1 header 00000987: Perf: Archive has version 1 header 00001874: Perf: Deleted 0 old files. 00001943: Debug: WebBrowser: Skipping file CoherentUI_Host.exe 00001943: Debug: WebBrowser: Skipping file CoherentUI64.dll 00002199: Debug: Coherent Warning: PID: 1804 | 9420 18:36:16.913065 [1804:9420:ERROR:resource_bundle.cc(528)] Failed to load C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\bin64\ui_resources_100_percent.pak Some features may not be available. 00002199: Debug: Coherent Warning: PID: 1804 | 9420 18:36:16.913065 [1804:9420:WARNING:resource_bundle.cc(252)] locale_file_path.empty() 00002724: Debug: Coherent Warning: PID: 1804 | 8664 18:36:17.504484 [9260:3612:ERROR:resource_bundle.cc(528)] Failed to load C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\bin64\ui_resources_100_percent.pak Some features may not be available. 00002724: Debug: Coherent Warning: PID: 1804 | 8664 18:36:17.504484 [9260:3612:WARNING:resource_bundle.cc(252)] locale_file_path.empty() 00002814: Debug: Coherent Warning: PID: 1804 | 9420 18:36:17.575295 Requesting resource read for coui://web/launcher/arenanet/images/mini-dragon.raw.png with internal id 6 reported FAIL 00002864: Debug: Web Message (launcher.js:2): onShowLauncher 00002864: Debug: Web Message (launcher.js:2): onSetPreferences 00002864: Debug: Web Message (launcher.js:2): onSetLanguage 00002889: Debug: Web Message (launcher.js:2): onPasswordHash 00025503: Error: Invalid Content-Range HTTP response for: 0x0022a1d9(u). Inculpatus cedo.9234
Did you look up the current IP address? As it changes often. If you continue to have issue, you can contact the Tech CS Team via the 'Support' link above/below. Good luck.

After confirming it, change 127.0.0.1 to 34.239.19.127, save, then launch GW2. Your log file is showing the file it's stuck on is due to the download being incomplete, which has generally been a problem with the patch server, so using a working one should fix it. You can try downloading the file you're stuck on in your browser to confirm it's the expected size: http://origincdn.101.arenanetworks.com/program/101/1/0/2269657 (76.7 MB / 80,437,920 bytes). If it's not, either other software or your ISP is the cause.
Cannonbeard.6350
Hi thank you for answering! I have tried with 127.0.0.1 which gives me an error at the start of the launcher and then changing it to 34.239.19.127 and 52.202.245.40 which should be the current correct IP's but sadly doesnt seem to change anything. What exactly do you mean by confirming if its the expected size?
Healix.5819
> @"Cannonbeard.6350" said: > What exactly do you mean by confirming if its the expected size? Download file #2269657 (76.7 MB). When finished, right click it > properties and confirm the file size is 80,437,920 bytes. If you can download it through your browser with the expected size, the problem is caused by other software interfering with GW2. If you can't, it could also be caused by your ISP, which would require using a VPN. - To confirm the hosts edit is applied, the line in your hosts file should be: 34.239.19.127 assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com Open a command prompt (search start for cmd) and enter: ping assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com It should show the same IP as in the hosts file: "Pinging assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com [34.239.19.127]..." (it won't respond to pings, so expect the requests to time out) - If you didn't do this already, with the hosts edit applied, delete Local.dat (under %appdata%/Guild Wars 2, and optionally under Documents/Guild Wars 2), then launch GW2 using: -log -image -patchconnections 1 Confirm the log is still showing the same problem (Invalid Content-Range HTTP response for: 0x0022a1d9(u)...) - For a quick test, press WindowsKey+R and open: ncpa.cpl This should bring up your available network connections. Right click your primary connection (with internet access) and select properties. Uncheck "QoS Packet Scheduler" and click OK. Try launching GW2 now. If it's still stuck, open the properties again and uncheck "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)" (or check it if it was already unchecked), then OK. Try launching GW2 again. Return these options to what they were when you're done. - To rule out most other software, open a command prompt as an administrator (search start for cmd, right click > run as admin) and enter: netsh winsock reset netsh int ip reset Open msconfig (WindowsKey+R, open: msconfig), select the boot tab, check safe boot with network under it, then ok and reboot to enter safe mode. Once in safe mode, confirm you still have internet access, then delete Local.dat and try launching GW2. To return to normal, open msconfig and uncheck safe boot. Cannonbeard.6350
I'm not sure what i've done but now the launcher seems to stay at 100%.
