Suggestions on Dual Wield Weapons (Sword)

I feel like the upcoming "buffs" won't be enough to help the warriors and their unused weapons. They need more flexibility with mace/sword to make it more competitive. Warrior in competitive right now has trouble surviving all the condi mess that happens in team fight. And when fighting condi/bunker, they struggle cause they end up burning through their CDs to heal up without being able to give pressure. They lack the AOE condi that other classes have. Other classes like Burn Guard, Condi Thief, Condi Mirage, Condi SB can spam you with condi at range and ran away. Don't get me started on Longbow...

So if they're not going to do something about cleansing... then at least make a condi-bunker warrior competitive.

Trait: Dual Wielding - Increase the attack speed to 25%. Gain adrenaline when using a OH Axe, Sword, or Mace skill.

Sword MH and OH:

1. AA - No changes

2. Savage Leap - No changes

3. Final Thrust - add 10 stacks of vulnerability to below 50% health. add Unblockable.

4. Impale: Remove torment. Make this immobilize for 1 second instead and have the pulsing cripple. Rip: Implement stack of might.

5. Riposte: add transfer 1 condition when you block an attack.

Burst: Flurry - Idk why this still roots you, it's so weird. Unlike the Thief Sword 3 and Mesmer Sword 2, it doesn't give you evade. So you're just there vulnerable. And seems counter productive when you're trying to pin down your enemy.

Suggestion: Now able to use while moving. No longer gives immob, causes torment that stack with each adrenaline bar spent. Now hits 5 targets.

I think they are sound moves that would make condi-bunker more competitive. It always seemed strange to me to increase attack speed, building up momentum and then when it's time to charge, you cant move. If they can have different effects for skills in different game modes, why not change flurry immobl, except for WvW?

As in gain +5 or +10 adrenaline per skill, or adrenaline per hit? I think making the IAS from Dual Wielding and Berserk Mode stack with quickness and with each other would make this trait more than enough in its current state.

These two are fine.

Vulnerability isn't what is needed and making something as strong as FT below 50% HP unblockable won't fly. What I suggest instead is apply 6 stacks of bleed on targets above 50% hp and double it on foes below 50% hp. If you need unblockable take signet mastery, you get more might as well and the signet proc is a nice cue to use for twitching your 3 key.

> 4. Impale: Remove torment. Make this immobilize for 1 second instead and have the pulsing cripple. Rip: Implement stack of might.

Torment is okay. If taken as a whole package swd/swd needs more cover condi and torment covers that niche. The projectile needs to be faster though, and this is something that would benefit from being unblockable. I can tell you that Anet won't put immob on this because of Leg Specialist. Rip also needs to be a faster cast.

> 5. Riposte: add transfer 1 condition when you block an attack.

Now that is an interesting suggestion. Why not 2 condi instead? Personally I think doing away with the block and making Riposte an interrupt, no cc just an interrupt so it can deal damage with the current noodle CC mentality, that does the listed effects currently would improve it. That way you 'block' an attack and counter it in one action for the skill flavor, and you don't have to wait on being attacked to deal the damage. Add 25% more damage and bleed if you actually interrupt someone.

I agree on hitting 5 targets, and being mobile, but the immob needs to stay. I also suggest a faster channel, like a 1s reduction in the current channel time.

I suggest changing Wounding Precision to instead grant torment when you bleed a foe, 8s/4s PvE/Comp split. That would go a long ways in making Warrior Condi builds better and would be a big buff to OH sword even if the change I mention above never happens. That and Warrior could pick up runes of Tormenting to add to their sustain.
