FotFW: Dolyak Race modified?

Heya folks,

 

Say, is it just me or has the start of the race been modified so that you no longer can start with a speed boost unless you take an immediate detour to the right to grab that crystal?

You would be correct. They changed it so you can't get an orange crystal before the race starts.

Everyone should start with the same prerequisites, so I would say it's a good change.

Yet you can stack swiftness on yourself which is how there are people with low daily times.

I mean, it was still a thing everyone could do, it didn't require a specific class or anything.

Exactly. Everyone could do it, so everyone _did_ have the same prerequisites. This change was unnecessary.

 

P.S. At least, you can still do it for the timed race, I think.
