weaponwh.9810 Posted September 13, 2020 Share Posted September 13, 2020 currently when i play s5 no quarter, i dont have any dialogue sound. however i play other story dialogue(such as main story living word s3/s4, even early s5 i have dialogue sound) so is the later s5 just dont have voice acting? Mutisija.5017 Posted September 13, 2020 Share Posted September 13, 2020 this is intentional, and they did post announcements about this. they didnt drag the voice actors to studios due the whole pandemic going on, and they are going to add the voice later when all of this calms down a little. Hannelore.8153 Posted September 13, 2020 Share Posted September 13, 2020 Most of the US, especially around the ArenaNet headquarters, was hit hard by a pandemic from COVID-19, and were under lockdowns during the development of recent episodes and thus have no voice acting because they couldn't go into the studio. Perhaps it's a language barrier issue on my end, but I did not take "studio" literally as in "professional recording studio" - it sure does _not_ look like it but 100% portable, and she seems to have to do all the tech stuff on location herself. If ArenaNet gave them equipment to set up a makeshift recording studio to allow them to work remotely, that technically is "back in the studio". Regardless, she confirms it's in her own home.
