Emulator.7851 Posted October 27, 2020 Share Posted October 27, 2020 Hey all, recently got the wonderful "connection error, retrying" issue when starting GW2. Tried all the fixes (Google DNS, winsock reset, clear roaming, rename file to "Gw2.exe", etc...) with no success. So, decided to fresh install. After re-downloading the launcher all I get is the OLD HoT launcher (using the 64-bit version) and a cycling of "connection error, retrying", and "0/0 game data downloaded...", so it's not even initializing the download. The 32-bit version had the same error as well. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what the issue could be and was hoping someone with a similar issue had managed to resolve it.
