[Player Helping Players] Unstable Network

Hello guys,

 

Today, I come to you with the first part of a tutorial on how to make your network more stable while improving your QoL while browsing the internet.

This will make your connection less laggy and more optimized for playing Guild Wars 2.

 

Disclaimer : This tutorial is respecting the Terms & Service and should not be subject to a "forum account suspended"

 

Step 1 : Press the Windows Key

Step 2 : Type in : "windows defend" -> Press Enter

Step 3 : Under Inbound Rules : Click New Rule

Step 4 : Select "Custom" and click Next

Step 5 : Keep "All programs" checked and click Next

Step 6 : Protocol type : TCP

Step 7 : Local Port : "Refer to Malicious Ports & cmdlets (Non-exhaustive)"

Step 8 : Remote Port : " Refer to Malicious Ports & cmdlets (Non-exhaustive)" and click Next

Step 9 : Scope : Any IP address and click Next

Step 10 : Block The Connection and click Next

Step 11 : Domain + Private + Public and click Next

Step 12 : Enter a name for the new rule you have set.

Step 13 : On the left hand panel click on : "Outbound Rules"

Step 14 : Refer to Step 4.

 

Once you have configured your firewall, restart your computer.
