Knockback by NPC into frost crystal thing, north DWC

This was at the citadel, immediately after the cannons phase, while the elemental was still up. I was running from east to mid, and an NPC - or maybe explosion - knocked me into mid's crystal, near the mid cannon. I could not get out, so let myself die.

 

When I finally hit dead, the elemental was killed. Either the frost crystal thing I was in disappeared, or my death changed my camera angle enough that I didn't look like I was in the crystal.

It was not like being encased in ice in either Bitterfrost or the Fraenir strike mission. In those cases, you don't see through your character's polygons. You can't see from this angle but, as I was trying to get out and moving my character around, I could see through my character.
