Unable to purchase gems from the store

As the title says, I tried to purchase gems from the in-game store (not sure if there's any other way?) and was not able to go through the payment process because of an error. I tried paypal, credit card and bank options listed but couldn't get redirected to the respective sites from the game because of an unexpected error. Previous purchase I had made was around 5 days ago.

 

So it's not a declined card from my part, because I couldn't even get to paypal's site.

 

Any help appreciated and do tell if I can purchase gems from elsewhere than the lion's exchange store in-game. :)
