Cerby.1069 Posted November 18, 2017 Share Posted November 18, 2017 Looking for: -active, nice wvsw nutjob guilds (size doesn't really matter tbh, just active, but like 10 dedicated would be awesome for guild runs...smaller closer knit. Basically a group that could run a small core group but still enough that they could roll themselves in pubs/pugs/greendots like an ice filled snowball and be effective) -communities who avoid blaming everything on generic things like numbers or the enemy ganging them....or who avoid insulting their enemies over things they themselves would do lol. -communities who aren't in victim mode. Like NSP is just.....the perfect example. They always feel everyone is being mean to them without reason. -guilds and communities who don't use potty humour, don't want belching and other ugly noises in the ts -communities that praise diversity and allow people to do things different ways. Like being cool with commanders yak escorting, being cool with groups/commanders running crazy high damage builds, being cool with using portal bombs all over and other things outside the metabattles that still work. Being cool with getting results different ways I guess. I really hate closed minded communities that demand everyone do things the same way their favourite commander does them, or they label everyone a newbie. -communities that use ts rather than discord 500 gem cost seems fairly doable, considering you could just spend 500 gems 7 days later to reroll so to speak. Seems better than spending 1000 on a single medium server. So which little server is a good pick for NA? Was thinking (Henge of Denravi, Sanctum of Rall, Eredon Terrace) - so SoR or ET since hod does have some nice people there if you can find them, could be homey feeling. Any thoughts on the SoR and ET communities? (Fort Aspenwood, Devona’s Rest) - Always had a thing for FA, I really have no idea what they are like in actuality tho. DR is a little server i could bounce to. Thoughts on the DR community? The last guest I knew that had a strong community for always being a tight group is currently in shambles (FC) with guilds dying and people leaving. As for DH, if you ask me, the only thing still keeping this server alive is trying to become Host again (It still undoubtly the biggest guest server). But even that took a recent hit when Arena Net demoted it from the only guest at Very High down to High again. The Irony of being linked with the server we are trying to replace is just rich. Most of them are fine. HoD seems like a good bet for what you want, though. been linked with them twice now and they always seem like a laid-back, easy going crowd. I'm not on NSP, but we faced off against them several weeks ago. They were a plucky little group who was more than willing to come out and fight, even outnumbered. Our side even asked pugs to stand on the sidelines a few times in order to fight even up. Overall, I was very impressed with their conduct. Ya hod is a favourite for most Ehmry players. The only problem is their greens or pubs, are extremely weak, like extremely. Hod's strength very much lies in the handful of good players and good guilds that carry it. HOD arguably has a bigger sea presence on a weekly basis if there are ktrain possibilities. Most of CD tags raid about 10-15hrs/week, hence the weekly coverage issues. A mediocre NA guild on CD that could field 10-15 would prolly be able to anchor it. On a side note: this is the state of CD/DH puggles in NA. I would venture this struggle between newer players to older players is widespread among the servers. We had 3 shield gens overlapping our groups, and somehow people still manage to squirrel out of the bubble, die to ac fire, and get offended when we laugh. The OP of this thread gave us a good chuckle for the past week. I believe the said wife and OP are on DH guilds. Granted, we were doing the normal TS facepalm chatter that they thought was rage. and our coms are more...active compared to others, but nowhere near wvw guilds of RG era.
