de es.9413
Hi people! As some of you know, there exists a really neat Razer Chroma integration in [Overwatch]( "Overwatch") maintained by devs themselves which reacts with pretty animations on your keyboard RGB lights to what's happening on the screen. Since we have (dying) Alienware LightFX support already, there's [this open-source project](https://github.com/Archomeda/lightfx-extender/ "this open-source project") which kinda makes it work with Chroma, however nowhere close to its capabilities. I personally think it would be amazing if devs could integrate the support for this. I know this would be a low priority. I looked into writing it myself but the API provided is not responsive enough to make such lighting any good. Could the API be improved/changed somehow or otherwise better lighting effects implemented on the dev team side? Has this been considered? Any thoughts are welcome! (hope I chose the right category!) Zok.4956
"The API", which resides under https://api.guildwars2.com/, is not realtime and not useful for this. There is also a Mumble-API: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/API:MumbleLink in the game client, maybe it has some use for you. And you could contact the developer of ArcDPS (ArcDPS reads the memory of the game client and is already doing a lot of stuff with it) if he/she wants to develop such a thing. de es.9413
Hmm as you said API isn't any good here. I know about Mumble and MumbleLink it's quite nice - although not even close to what could be done with a full RGB keyboard if more data was available. iirc MumbleLink is handled by dev team themselves - which would be best in this case as I've already coded plugins for Mumble before - the ones that hook into the game depend on specific game build and require constant maintenance with ongoing updates. A huge pain for online games. As I'm not a frequent visitor here, would you mind directing me to a place where I can give GW2 devs this feedback? You can post here on the forum (which you already did) and on Reddit. And eventually devs will read it when they have time.
