Lily.1935
I've mentioned this a few times, but Barrier is not healing. It is a defensive mechanic like aegis. The fact that this is impacted 70% by agony makes no sense. You don't have 70% invulnerability duration reduction while under the effects of agony, your stealth duration isn't reduced by 70%, your aegis block rate isn't reduced by 70% so why have this here? This doesn't make any sense and it actively shuts out supportive builds from working in fractals. Its been a long argument that Barrier wouldn't be good enough compared to those other defenses and this sort of decision has solidified that belief for fractals. I personally feel like it would be great to have in a group for fractals to allow professions that could bring something great to the table but struggle due to the nature of fractals and agony. Barrier does block its damage, sure. So 30% at most. But 70%? This is not healing. Barrier is not healing no matter how bad you push it to simulate it. Swadow.6213
Scourge is too "hard support" for it to not be affected and way too good in high end PvE content
Aktium.9506
Fun fact, Barrier is affected by Agony slightly different from healing. Ordinary healing can't be reduced below the 70% reduction by additional stacks of Agony, but Barrier has some stacking reduction going on. With 5+ stacks of Agony every source of Barrier just adds 1 point of Barrier to your health bar.

Zero.3871
Like the obstructed shades, the unwritten icd on dhuumfire, the fact that half of necromancer skills don't work against downed enemies (painful in wvw, pvp), useless staff 1 AA since 5 years and something more. anet dont care how this class works. its more important to create 427414724919 new skills for the next ele elite spec. Methuselah.4376
They removed agony's effect on Barrier. It is now genuinely helpful when the party is under the effects of agony where healing is cut down by 70%
