Ascended rings are easier to get even than rare and exotics,so the quality of life value is 0, and appearance wise,the game is beyond over abundant with flashy visual effects,to the point where it's becoming an annoyance. It is impossible to gather with 9 more people and have fun in raid. What we're doing in LFG is waiting for the static teams who were made months ago to miss a guy and need a replacement. The raiding community is very toxic! Is like you try to convince a communist country to import things from your country. Anet, instead of trying to fix these holes in the community by making the raids a little bit friendly and opened for all kind of builds, they just throw rewards behind it to make people spam the refresh button in LFM Raids. Even the new wing is a fail. They took some random mobs, added tons of effects and aoes and marked it as "Underworld" just to make GW1 veterans hype about it. I unlocked the ring collection and I've checked the requirements. 5 items are gathered on POF maps, but to gather them you need 1 item crafted from 4 components. Those 4 components are very cryptic, is just a name and the recipe for mystic forge, they do not tell you where do you get them from. A guildmate told me he got one item for the collection from the first boss in the new wing. I think what Anet is doing now is checking our reactions to see the impact of another VIP-community-raid-locked item. Ulion.5476 Posted November 29, 2017 Share Posted November 29, 2017 A new item, Gift of Desert Mastery, has been added to allow crafting legendary weapons by playing in Path of Fire™ maps. - The following weapons can be created with the new gift: Flames of War, Sharur, Shooshadoo, the HMS Divinity, the Shining Blade, and future legendary weapons that are part of this set. - Legendary tributes can now be purchased from various vendors in Path of Fire maps. PoF players can craft most of the generation 2 legendaries. Their are 3 gen 2 legendaries tied to HoT, also the trinket requires HoT and LS3. Their is no outrage for the legendary ring because the players that craft legendary are normally the ones that have the time to raid. Players with multiple legendaries are 1/5 of the playerbase. Legendaries are a end game goal so their no need to make a big fuss over it. Eventually other gamemode will get some type of legendary accessory. Most of the opinions i've heard weren't pretty. For a reason, by the way - the people farming for this stuff generally are not interested in the mode at all, they're there just to farm, and they see no reason to hide it. And I want to make my every slot item legendary. It's the haracter progression for me. This raid requirement prevents me to get a legendary armor(skin) and ring. I don't wanna be limited from game progression just because I don't have enough friends to form a raid group. (and ofc complete the raid wing) I don't want to play raids anyway, I like open world PvE and WvW. I hate instanced content. They should make alternative crafting methods for those content. Also, if you say 'hey kid needs attention, be back in a minute' there has never been a person who has kicked anyone for that. Now if you are talking AFK for 10-20 minutes at a time or AFKing in the middle of the boss then that's pretty reasonable if you don't clear a long absence first. The group isn't responsible for your progression or for carrying you unless you have friends who are willing to specifically carry you, or you pay to be carried. And if it does have a skin, chances are it won't be suitable for me (I'm not too fond of aurora either with the floating orbs...) so I won't want to make it anyway.
