Why a specific Fossilized Insect instead of Unidentified?

Why is it the end reward of the Maguuma Wastes Reward Track (both PvP and WvW) offers a choice of identified Fossilized Insect, rather than an simple Unidentified Fossilized Insect?

 

There's no cost associated with identfying them - you just go to an NPC and trade them 1:1.

Unidentifieds stack, while identifieds only stack by type (I at least assume they stack!) but you never really need more than one of each.

As above, very few people will have a need for more than one of each specific insect, so any identifed insects are pretty much useless after the collection is done. Extra Unidentifieds on the other hand can be traded for Bags of Sandy Gear.

 

Could we at least get it as a choice - the option of picking a Unidentified Fossilized Insect instead of a specific one?

I agree: update the Maguuma Wastes reward track; it's lackluster in rewards as it is.
