No one is forcing you to use things you don't like, and stop getting worked up over how other people choose to enjoy the game - that's their business, not yours.

I never said anything like that. Stop putting words in my mouth. All I'm saying is:

Wings were a mistake.

They’ve had wings in Guild Wars since 2006. If that’s not long enough nothing is.

[Rainment of the Lich](https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Raiment_of_the_Lich)

[The Paragon](https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Paragon) has wings which appear with certain skills.

And you thought that would change my stance on how wings are horribly unfitting, how?

Wings were a mistake.

Tell that to all the Devs, who create the game and the lore, including wings which have been in game for at least 11 years.

I assume because you said they didn't fit in the established setting of the game. The developers added wings over a decade ago in GW1 which sort of establishes it in the setting of the game.

I happen to like the wings, and own several pairs in my wardrobe.

Why?

Because they do fit in with the lore and in with the setting.

It's been a precedent set in Guild Wars 1, and continues on to this day. And now that there is the inclusion of gliders, it makes sense to have them even more.

However, if we want to argue - the plushie backpacks could also be considered a mistake - as it takes away from the seriousness of the game. They don't fit in with the lore as we're wearing plush animals of creature and other species that are part of the content.

_But... I happen to have several of those too, and happen to not think they are a mistake._

I happen to think that the backpieces that have been offered are really neat and am glad that the white ones are on sale as that is a pair I don't have.

You could say the same about plushie backpacks in real life too. They definitely take away from the seriousness, and that's what makes them fun. Same thing in game.

Like I said, I don't think they are a mistake in the game :D I enjoy them, and find that they add a little bit of something. ^.^

I dunno, maybe not the feathered wings (since there aren't any angels as far as I know of) but futuristic wings ([like these](https://cdna.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/000/653/922/large/joshua-carrenca-emperor-battle-armor.jpg?1429912380 "like these")) would fit perfectly into what has been established thus far.
