So Hero Challenges in HoT

So I know the expansion is coming to and end but I need to take my new main through all these 10 hero point hero challenges to level up my elite specs yeah? But, most of them are meant to be impossible to solo. So then what are my options to actually make this happen and complete them? Or am I just never going to be able to complete these maps and get the necessary hero points before going over to Path of Fire.

There's enough available that can be done solo to max your elite spec. There's also likely going to be HP trains going on right now.

There are plenty of ones you can solo. 1/3 to 1/2 are commune only. Check out Dulfy's guides.

 

Otherwise, look up LFG for HP trains. I see one every other time I go to the HoT maps. Best look right now cos everyone will be preoccupied in PoF tomorrow.

You can finish every HP with Proof of Heroics from WvW.

There are two hard hero points in VB, one hard hero point in AB and probably 3 hard hero points in TD. There are no hard hero points in DS. That means there are 6 hard hero points out of the 40 in HoT. You need 25 hero points. That means even if you skip the next hardest 9 you can easily unlock your elite spec.

Yup, was about to say the same thing. Froggy and Guano in VB tricky as is Birddude, Balth and Golem in AB. TD the shroom queen complete biotch but most communable/soloable. If you have poison mastery you can just walk in to the chak one, don't aggro, commune and leave. BUT, right now there are HEAPS of HP trains every day/night so I would check LFG and get one of those really. Some of the folks running those are really good and helpful!!

If you're using this option, obtain the easy communes in HoT first, then use your proofs. Reason being; when you use a proof, the game completes a random HP out of the ones you've not yet finished.

some do require some insight and "luck" to solo, not everyone will have the skills required to solo it. looking for a train (choo! choo!) is always the fastest

By the time I take a character into HoT, I've already done core map completion, so I only need another 6 (x10) HPs. That generally takes me about 30 minutes in VB, if I don't get distracted by the meta :)

And that Balthazar one can be stealthed. I sometimes offer stealth when I'm in AB with my thief, much easier than fighting that dude.

Check on map for HP train. There's usually somebody each map ( or maybe propose yourself. You'll find ppl like you who wants to do a specific hp ).

You can solo enough of them to get enough points for an elite spec. Unless you've already used up those points for the HoT elite spec. ;) In that case I recommend simply asking for help in map chat, it's what I always do (tagging up as Commander helps, so you can post your color and people will find you quicker).

Some are imposible to solo for some proffs , but yeah u have more than enough easy HP to complete the New elite, plus Pof will have HP too btw hot and pof u have enough for 4 elites
