Path of Corruption (and other Shroud Traits)

I don't know about other necro players, but this change makes me intrigued about necro traits.

As we all know, Shroud Traits are in practically every trait line, doing a wide variety of things. This is fine, but the traits perform VERY differently based on what Shroud you have, whether Core, Reaper, or Scourge.

My question is, what other Shroud Traits are suited for this kind of change, where it has different levels of power based on the shroud you use?

I'd like to see Dhuumfire have triple duration for Core Necro, double for Reaper, and its current power for Scourge. (as an example)

Path of Corruption grants Shroud 2 Ammo (like mesmer now has a trait for ammo) in addition to its boon corruption. 3 for core, 2 for Reaper, none for scourge.

Armored Shroud should grant % damage reduction, 5 on Scourge, 15 on Core, 25 on Reaper (instead of Toughness).

Shrouded Removal triggers every second in Core, 2 for Reaper, 3 for Scourge.

Etc etc.

Any thoughts on this?

This is the first time they have ever done this to a trait making it different based on which elite spec you were running suggesting that they could have been doing this all along and possibly chose not to do so. But doing a bunch of traits this way would likely become harder to balance.

Necromancer is one of the few professions that could really use tools like this due to none of its current trait lines having to be locked into a specific one. Ever sense the VP change we no longer have to stick to soul reaping so we can run what ever we want with anything. Though this is good and bad it good because it opens up build diversity its bad because it means the traits dont have as strong of a Synergy link with one another.

This also means traits that are suppose to boost things like shroud dont boost them as much as they should be doing or as much as traits do when they boost other professions core mechanic.

One of the trait that need a split might be _transfusion_. It's a trait originally designed for a skill with a 40s cool down and it now run on a 15 second cool down skill whose cool down can be reduce to 12 seconds. At the moment it's not a trait that break the game, far from it, however, it feel terriby imbalanced for 2 specs of the same profession to have a trait with a 25 second difference.

To be fair the rate that transfusion pulses at and how many times it pulses changes depending on what elite you are using. Scourge's Transfusion pulses once per second while Reaper's transfusion pulses several times a second.

And how exactly do you justify the difference with core shroud? Let's say that the fact that reaper have a lesser effect due to the fact that it's supposed to be this nonsense of a power dps spec and scourge a "support" spec, just how do you justify that core fall behind both reaper and scourge when core should be an all rounder at the very least? The necromancer suffer from huge imbalances and it's shown also in this trait.

Now I'd rather see DS#4 cool down have a shave in order to balance this.
