Still having problem where GW2 crashes after clicking play

Recommended Posts

There's a problem where GW2 will default to an invalid resolution, which mainly seems to affect Windows 10. You need to force windowed mode using the -windowed option.

Other than that, it's a graphics problem. It can be caused by overlays or anything else that hooks into the graphics. If you have multiple GPUs, rename Gw2-64.exe to Gw2.exe or manually configure your GPU through its control panel to use it for Gw2-64.exe. It could also be a problem with the GPU drivers, DirectX or other software blocking GW2 from accessing the graphics.

Checked direct X, running latest version, 12. Windows 10 does not let me change the target line to run windowed mode.
