Jenstone.6891
Yesterday, logged in, no issues. Today, logged in, but when I got to character selection screen, the screen would quickly go the single character screen. The mouse, although I could move it, GW2 would not recognize the clicking. Tried repairing, tried uninstall, reinstall, nothing seemed to work. I played other games, no mouse issues. Any ideas?
Healix.5819
Disable any overlays. Something is likely on top of GW2 and intercepting your inputs.
Jenstone.6891
Surprisingly, I use no overlays, so that's not the problem.
Healix.5819
Are you sure? Not just GW2-related overlays - Steam, Mumble and Discord for example. Is it just the mouse? An overlay would also intercept your keys - try clicking (to ensure the overlay is focused), then press enter to login to the selected character. You can try running GW2 as an administrator to prevent regular programs from interfering, or you can delete the folder %appdata%/Guild Wars 2/, which will reset your graphics settings and should default it to full screen mode where overlays don't work. Kanario.6809
I had the same problem, I solved it closing Discord; thanks.
Krashmoney.5427
Logging into discord, opening the overlay then closing it again fixed it for me. Tried exiting discord before this, ended up doing nothing. I also don't normally have issues with both discord and guild wars 2 running, but accessing the overlay while in game seemed to fix it. Jenstone.6891
hmmm, Discord... hate it. I did not even log into it. However, I have completely uninstalled it and that fixed the problem. Which means that even without me logging into it, it was affecting my computer. Good riddance, never on my computer again. Thank you for the idea.
