How do I unlock the GW1 pets?

 

Do I need to buy GW1 ? If so I will buy it.

 

So now that I own GW1, how easy/hard is it to unlock the pets??

 

Do I need to complete dungeons and raids?

 

Explore content?

Yes, you will need to play Guild Wars 1 and gain the required points and/or achievements for the Hall of Monuments. This will require some work as well as the Eye of the North expansion. https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Hall_of_Monuments

Gw1 better than gw2 anyway. Ranger is God tier in there better than gw2.... Again. Good luck.

But you should play a demo or something like that first, GW1 is a totally different game and you might not enjoy it enough to play it til you get all pets.

it really isn't a walk in the park to get all of them, it's a reward meant to thank the GW1 veterans who poured a significant amount of hours playing the first game.

Aside fro just having them around for appearance sake ,You don't gain anything with the GW1 pets because they are just duplicates of others.

play gw1 for a while. is good if you're burned out from gw2.
