What happened to Infantile mode?

There are tons of shortcut clouds missing. What happened to them?

I didn't notice much (if any) difference when I ran World 1/z 1-3 or World 2/z3.

Just did World 2/z 1-2. All seemed the same there, too.

Going through world 2/zone 2 on a new character to unlock all the weapons, and through the buildings in the middle ALL the shortcut clouds are gone. I know they were there in 2016 (they are also in the Dulfy video), I thought they were there last year, maybe they removed it last year and I missed it.

They removed the ones in w2z2 and replaced it with a short-cut on the left side of the building that appears just before the piranha pools. I believe it is known as checkpoint 4. It essentially skips everything with the fish and jumping and takes you to the boss. You just have to go left, jump on clouds, then a cliffs then giant cloud, deal with some assasins and you are at boss. Any of the achieves past that point need to be done by running normal or without rainbows. I noticed it last year when dulfy's guides were different than what I was seeing. In her comments section, someone was noted that it had changed.
