Matty.5361
Hi all, Hope you're all well. I'm returning to GW2 after a very long hiatus and running into some performance issues. Since I sold my gaming PC I've started using my girlfriends iMac 27" (3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 quad core, 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1024 MB), however I've noticed that no matter how much tweaking of graphics settings/resolution - it struggles to stay above 30 FPS. I am well aware that Apple can be inferior to Windows in gaming, however my old gaming laptop (HP, Windows 10, i7, 8GB, Nvidia GT740) ran GW2 with no issues on relatively high specs. Comparison of the GPUs directly leads me to believe that there would be little performance difference (http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GT-755M-vs-GeForce-GT-740M) and I can't imagine i7 quad versus i5 quad can lead to such a performance drop. Is there any advice anyone can offer? (Apart from go build a PC). Thanks in advance, Matt
Matty.5361
FYI: WoW is playable at max resolution with no noticeable frame drops.
Steve The Cynic.3217
Make sure it really is using the NVidia rather than the i5"s Intel HD Integrated graphics. Intel HD is seriously sucky for gaming.
