I'd like to suggest a way to turn off avatar icons for public poll results. To me, it's an eyesore and adds so much bloat to scroll past. I'm not even sure why we need a public and private option on these things. Imagine what that would look like if it had hundreds of votes.

Is there any way now to jump to the next ArenaNet post? Previously there were arrows next to the ANet team member name to jump to the next one, but that doesn't seem to exist anymore?

Is it possible to implement this? It's highly helpful for forums and threads like the ones on the Blizzard WoW forums (yea yea, but they are good) which just takes you to the next staff post.

Just checked out the results in a poll on the new forum and was assaulted by [this monstrosity](https://imgur.com/a/K48fK). The sheer visual overload of all the participants' avatars make the poll result nigh unreadable, on top of the blinding white background. I noticed each reply already shows what the poster voted for, so I think that is plenty information enough. Please get rid of the avatars in the overall poll results.

How about inclusion of an RP forum?

I know back in the beginning GW2 was a smash hit for RP. But as it seems now we are running into the issue of having to be on the same shard as role players where we used to only have to be on the same server. I would appreciate more RP tools both on the forums as well as in game. I do suppose in a way the Lore Section of the forums could be used to RP related things but it just feels better having a full on section to dedicate to it imho. I guess its about organization. Which is understandable.

+10000 on dark / night mode.

I dont mind the new outlines though.

Also signatures are still a must.

This is SO much better! It didn't show up, when I searched Stylish, so thanks for posting this. <3

Guys, I have awesome news about the 15 minute edit limit!

This will ease all of those legitimate concerns about guides, fanfic, and other great content that may need to be amended, added to, even removed by the OP. (Tip: If you remove the content of a post, you can input a note, such as "removed content," and then flag the post to request removal by a moderator.) (This change also helps those of us who look back a day later and see a glaring typo that means we can't sleep well until it's amended. ;) )

This means that those of you who joined us yesterday, with the launch of the new forums, will have unlimited forum edit rights Friday morning (Pacific time). Retaining a limit--albeit an increased limit--on new members is helpful because it aligns with our fraud protections, which actually have a 72-hour limitation on some elements related to account functionality.

Thank you for this post explaining some of the reasoning behind the decision regarding image hosting. I was very, very sad when I was told that we would be eliminating the ability to upload images right on to the forums. I mean, I host a monthly fan art program, and hosting art directly on the forums has been a major contributor to that show! And as much as I know we have the occasional silly person posting something entirely inappropriate, I felt the benefits far outweighed the risk of that happening.

However, this decision does not rest with me, just as other security-related decisions do not rest with any member of the Communications Team. As part of our extensive research, vetting, selection, and development process for the new forums, we were told that hosting images was not a secure practice, and ultimately that was the decision that was made and implemented for the new forums.

We will be looking for members to post links to images, ranging from game bugs to visual glitches to, yes, fan art.

Thanks for porting that post here, Aegis -- you beat me to it! It's important news, and rightfully the whole discussion belonged here to begin with, so I'm happy that you shared the info here.

So far I like the new format. By any chance is there a place I can read up on what exactly these badges do? I would like to know a bit more about them but I'm not really sure where to look and I didn't see it in the sticky section unless I just completely overlooked it. The main feedback I would give right now though is just it would be nice to have a few more avatars and a day/night mode for the forums. For the avatars is it possible we can use pictures of our heroes? I think that would be pretty neat to have.

Why, yes! [badges - The Full List](https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/950/forum-badges-the-full-list "https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/950/forum-badges-the-full-list") Shows how many points they are worth. I imagine points will help you get your rank up.

Awesome. So do these badges have any effect on your account or is it more like some forum flair? Also, I would like to add to the feedback that things can look at bit messy when quoting someone that has been quoting others. I wanted to edit this down a bit to respond just to the part about myself but it looks a bit cluttered to really tell where one quote ends and another begins. It is no big issue as multi-quotes get condensed down but I think it would be a nice little improvement to responding if I can easily select the part I wish to respond to.

It's September 13, 9 days to expansion release, and I have to ask....

What in the world is with the characters flanking the forums? I see a Scrapper, a Chronomancer, a vanilla Guardian... Where are the _new_ Elite specializations? Shouldn't the whole forum be themed towards Path of Fire already? Y'know, to build more hype?

New avatars might be rewards for in-game achievements and such.

I feel like the new Forums would take some time to get used to. But I do agree that there are issues that need to be addressed outlined by a couple people on this thread such as the heading, some of the spacing, and creating topic pages for as described before for HoT and Living Story Content. It would be nice if there was options to change simple design from what its currently now to the old mode. If they could implement that since some people prefer the old style a lot more than the new so why not have both as options? They could add in a retro mode for people who want to use that style and have people who want this style without having to split the forums.

Gaile stated... somewhere, they are going to add new avatars. I imagine they'll add the Elite Specs for PoF at the very least. I also hope they add the race icons.

Please could you make the light grey parts of the webpage darker? Like the bar at the top-left with the links to the official site, forums, support and wiki, and the account name and icons. Not sure if it's my eyes or the fact that I use a red light filter with a low brightness setting, but I find it really hard to see against the white, and couldn't figure out if I was logged on/how to do so when I first arrived.

I like that the forum posts themselves are larger, so that's nice... I like being able to choose my own avatar (though maybe an option to show my own character would be awesome), so that's nice too... However...

I don't enjoy all the whiteness. It's. So. White. SO WHITE. There needs to be more color and a little contrast between posts. They just blend together.

Someone also mentioned all the lines - it really is distracting and/or annoying to look at, and I'm sure you guys can come up with a more visually appealing way to separate posts.

When you're viewing forum topics, I feel that everything is just so large. If there were an option to scale down such things, I would really like to know. :/

EDIT: AND WHAT IS THIS EDIT (15 MINUTES) NONSENSE?

New suggestion... expand the "Recent developer posts" section on the home page. Right now its only 2 "pages" (or 6 posts total). I know for sure its possible to do at least 4 "pages" as I've seen other forums using this same structure with 4, but honestly, as many as you can fit in there would be great. There's probably a hard-coded limit of some sort, and I say go all the way with it. Its really cool to have a little scroll like that showing you all the recent developer stuff without needing to go to a dedicated section for it.
