That's been the case since GW1 before steam version, it's been years, did we had to create a GW2 account or was it piggybacked from GW1? and was HoM automatically linked for those of us transitioned from GW1 to GW2? > _Note: As of 12/11/2014 all Guild Wars accounts need to be managed through the Guild Wars 2 account management page (accessible at: https://account.arena.net), even if you don't have a Guild Wars 2 account.
