Renegade WvW builds discussion

Anyone got any builds or videos playing around with renegade in wvw? I can't for the life of me settle on something workable (this part of the problem is more on my side of things with the mechanics) . I know it's going to take a while getting used to, but the flow of doing things in combat just gets ugly and I turn into a pancake. At this point in time I'll be happy to try out any builds you guys have had luck with (doesn't matter if power/condi/hybrid) or videos showing how you manage to play with your renegade in wvw successfully. This is the only elite I'm having problems with :open_mouth: I want to make this work! Oh, and it doesn't matter what weapons you use, it doesn't have to include shortbow if you don't want to (just make sure you have renegade specialisation of course). Are you guys having problems adapting to this new 'playstyle' too? Let's get some builds out and make it work!

No video but renegade is a blast in wvw for me. My only issue really is deciding between Devastation and Retribution for my third line. Retribution has a TINY bit better synergy with Wrought Iron Will but the lifetaps on Focused Siphoning and Assassins Annihilation give me a bit more sustain if i get out into the Mag Cloud. They both work ok though. Full TB armor and Trinkets, Dire weapons, Runes of Antitoxin. Mace/Axe and SB, Malyx and Jalis.

Ty for your response - I might try out mallyx/jalis a little or keep trying to get used to kalla. I did keep retribution instead of devastation atm. I did see someone use invocation/devastation/renegade but I can't remember from where. Where do you primarily fight? Small groups, zergs, or just all over?

Everywhere, my personal fav builds are those that i can roam a little and still punch into the zerg when the time comes. Being on mag once it queues you dont want to have to change classes so multi-purpose is the best
