But the same applies there - you can't die and the event will progress without you having to do anything (because it's actually dependent on how long the people inside take to kill the boss) so you can go afk until it's done if you want, but it usually only takes a few minutes. > > > > > > For Humans, you can jump down into the river and walk up to the far side of the fort where the boss spawns. Just talk to the one next to where you load in, and then run to the back side of the garrison. But, again, you might have to take a little bit extra time if the boss isn't up when you get to the back. Still no more than 5 minutes total, though. 5 minutes? Even that seems like an rare and extreme case. :D

Zeefa.3915
I have done weekly keyruns for almost a full year and the tutorial bothers me right about 0% Sure I have gotten a little bored with these runs and skipped a few weeks here and there... but the tutorial area has nothing to do with that. Inculpatus cedo.9234
I don't speak to _any_ NPCs in the Human tutorial. I just run to the river and up the other side.
Illconceived Was Na.9781
I can't say that I'd be unhappy if we didn't have to go through that first story step, that doubles as a tutorial. Been there, done that; don't need to do it yet again. On the other hand, the leveling up for an alt toon is so streamlined as to be almost uneventful. * Create character. * Do initial story * Boost to 80 * Train all skills & traits * Done If ANet is going to streamline something fundamental (with the potential to create all sorts of unforeseen bugs), this would probably be the last thing on my priority list, out of a host of good ideas. tl;dr it's a momentary annoyance in an otherwise speedy and uncomplicated process; I don't see this as an important or urgent issue. Enjoy the 3XP's per kill you get by DPSing trash on the way to the whatever boss your race has to deal with :)

But, again, you might have to take a little bit extra time if the boss isn't up when you get to the back. Still no more than 5 minutes total, though. You don’t even need to speak to the first NPC. I run straight to the boss spawn site and never have any problems.
