CnaeusDane.2938
It's been discussed in threads like [for the love of the six stop with the flashing effects](https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/10659/for-the-love-of-the-six-stop-with-the-flashing-effects/p1 "https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/10659/for-the-love-of-the-six-stop-with-the-flashing-effects/p1") and apparently the ["Official Response"](https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/comment/294590#Comment_294590 "https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/comment/294590#Comment_294590") yet nothing has been done. I haven't had an epileptic seizure in over 13 years but the bullshit lights from fighting Liadri still makes me sick. I can't imagine anyone who has a more severe case would feel. It's insensitive at best and poor customer service at worst. Stuff like this is why I've lost a lot of faith in Anet.
Corax.7692
I can barely handle the dancing and flashing chests you get on the right side of the screen for rewards, and the unselected specializations really drive me bonkers. The whole game seems to think that things popping, flashing, and dancing around is a good thing, and I was on the verge of quitting for the first week or two just because of all that. IndigoSundown.5419
Usual ANet. + Too much, "Gee, whiz!" and not enough, "What could go wrong." + Too much, "The way the game was originally coded did not allow for that, and it would be prohibitively difficult to put in now." Warscythes.9307
You can just turn down the graphics for that fight and remove that mechanic entirely. Is a pretty common tip when Liadri was relevant.
Danikat.8537
If you mean the thing where the entire screen lights up in crazy colours you can disable it by turning off post-processing. I actually forgot she did that because I always fought her with it off, until today when I went in to my first Gauntlet fight and found it remembered your progress so suddenly I was fighting Liadri with my open-world build. That was...interesting.
CnaeusDane.2938
Yeah the post processing would have been helpful to know but I had completely forgotten about that stupid mechanic and went in wondering why I didn't beat her the first time she was around. "Oh right, because it triggers migraines." But stuff like that shouldn't even been in a game. It doesn't add anything to the fight.
