How do the Shroud-related traits work in Scourge?

Sorry if this is a bit of a noob question, but I really don't get it. I see all them meta builds with the various "shroud skill x causes y" traits for Scourge and I'm just stumped thinking what the heck "shroud skill 1" in Sand Shroud is supposed to be. Is it any skill used while in Shroud? Is it the condi cleanse/barrier/fear skills (default F2-F4)?

All Scourge F skills trigger traits that effect shroud 1.

F2 will trigger any shroud 2 traits (Path of Corruption).

F4 will trigger any shroud 4 traits (Transfusion).

F5 will trigger any "enter/exit or whilst in shroud" traits, since it counts as your shroud.

On thing to add here though:

When you summon a shade they pulse an AoE which accounts as the shroud 1 skill.

When you attack with an F2-5 they pulsethis AoE too, this also counts for all pulses of F5.

But that's only relevant for dhuumfire procs (only triggering once on f5 use)
