Ceit.7619
What is the teams goals in terms of raid balance? There has been a variety of arguments in different subforums lately about the developer's idea of what class balance is. Does the team intend to look at what the Meta dps is for classes in raid scenarios? Is there any concern about increasing the viability of other support spec to make it so Chronomancer and Druid aren't so deeply necessary to the support meta? We all know that in the original design the intention was for any class to be able to step into a role so that we wouldn't run into the old GW1 problem of people waiting for monk's specifically, but fractals and raids have both kinda become the same problem now, just with 2 classes instead of one. What sort of metric for balance is the team planning to use in regards to endgame pve?
Etheri.5406
Please nerf chrono significantly. It should remain viable, but until there are alternatives that perform BETTER on at least a few bosses you can continue to remove its strength. 100% quickness AND 100% alacrity uptime while still providing 121321313 other boons and utility is simply too much. Nothing else can compete. Druid is problematic but not as much.
Ceit.7619
I'm not so much interested in starting a topic about nerfing X Y or Z, as I am understanding what the goals of class balance is in the eyes of the team working on it. Do they care what the meta is, or is it just a matter of whether all the classes can clear the content? Most classes can heal, but druid is taken because it combines a healer with an offensive support, which makes it the meta pick in 95% of the fights. Is this something they would look at as a problem to be addressed for the other healing classes? Or is the mentality just, a Water Ele, or Ventari Revenant can heal through the fights as well, and that's the only point of the balance. Alternatively, Necromancer dps is at the trash tier in endgame pve, with their full dps builds doing the same amount as support warriors. Is this considered a problem because they under-perform compared to other full dps meta builds, or is it not a problem because Necromancer dps can technically still complete the content? In short, is the metric for balance success in their eyes making each class desirable to play, or is it just making it so they can technically clear the content? Ceit.7619
Even snowcrows has in the listing of their Chronomancer build setup as a note that Chronomancer is so good at support that it is both broken in how good it is, and that the meta would not exist in it's current form without Chronomancer.
