Pet Damage Spikes

Over in the pvp forums I've seen people mention that they are getting hit for 10k, 15k, even 20k damage from a Ranger's pet.

 

What would be causing this?

 

Honestly, wondering if I might be missing out on some cheese!

Likely the Rock Gazelle, from what i hear it can do insane damage. Though dont have one myself so i cant confirm this.

Yeah, it's Rock Gazelle. It`s its charge attack which hits about once a year has high damage and can hit multiple times (I assume this is a bag) which results in ridiculous numbers.

Think it worked like necro's flesh golem charge where if you are lucky the target gets pin into terrain/wall and gets drill through the heavens.

I came here from the thief forum to say it was the Rock Gazelle... but people already said it. It caused me to raise a brow when I suddenly got plowed by the gazelle as a cloaked deadeye. It missed the intended target and hit me instead. Fucked me up good, even when I had some stacked percentile protection XD

 

I wouldn't call it broken though. That thing never lands it, so I agree it should hit stupidly hard.

If they nerf the damage, they sure as hell better make sure it can hit a target.

 

That skill is great against Deadeyes and people that are AFK. Any sort of movement confuses the pet, like most of our other pets.

Yup like everyone is saying: It's the deer, but the deer has issues hitting people. I've found a way to make it more consistently hit people though, so a nerf is def coming for that pet; all the other pets seem normal tho damage wise, about on par with smokey.

 

They still need to make the deer able to hit tho when they nerf it.

Yeah the Rock Gazelle can hit for high amounts IF it hits the target. Atm it has the lowest range on its skills compared to other pets and almost never hits, but its Soulbeast skills are good thats the reason people take it.
