please let us rebind mouse buttons

currently mouse scroll up and down are bind to camera zoom in and out which is fine, but it would be great if we could rebind them, for example i really want to change mouse scroll up to weapon swap so i can change my weapon faster, and i am used to it because in eso that is how i play, please anet let us rebind them.

Could you use an external program that changes the mouse buttons/wheel to keys instead? I'm not saying macro, just "scroll up = X" & "scroll down = Y".

I always like to help out thread like this, I get asked in the comment on my youtube channel too. I really think some of the control system QoL needs to be added in to the game. Currently there's no way to bind wheel up and down in game, or any other functions your gaming mouse can provide, but here's an alternative:

This has been developed and used for years, and later anet dev has improved from this mode and introduced the Action Camera. Personally I can't play the game without this.

 

It's a combat mode which allows you to bind any keys and simulates an action combat system, it doesn't give any unfair advantage into the game so it's perfectly fine to use it. For example this is my keybind in game and I have been using this since I came to the game.

 


As the screenshot shows, in config I have set my

F5 = left click,

F6 = right click,

F7 = wheel down

F8 = wheel up

Tab = weapon swap

F1,2,3,9 are my mouse side buttons

 


 

 

I hope this helps you out and I truly hope the current action camera mode can also gets more love/update from the devs :)

thank you very much, i hope devs add more key binding options in the game itself and we do not have to use 3rd party app, it is odd that modern mmo like gw2, lacks the key binding options for mouse. thanks again.

TBH The default control settings are also terrible. I wonder who actually plays with default controls, it's incredibly un- ergonomic.
