[Suggestion] Minimap size

I've played GW2 since beta. I know the original idea was that the game would play reasonably well on older machines, but time moves on, and Moore's Law still holds true and hardware improves. The minimap has had the same fixed size since launch. On smaller screens that was fine, but now that screens are bigger and graphics cards are more powerful, is it time for the minimap to be improved?

 

I would like to see two changes:

1. The maximum minimap size increased so we can enlarge the minimap if we want to. Up to, say 1000 pixels by 500? This would have been full screen back in the old days but would be only a quarter of a 1080p screen now. Perhaps there are better options - should it be limited by screen size only?

2. It would really good if the minimap also had an option to spawn it in a second window. Anyone with two (or more screens) will know how useful this would be but it would be a cool

option anyway.

It can be changed yes, but its idiotically limited in how large it can be increased. IMO it should be allowed to cover the whole screen if the player so wishes, or at a lower maximum one quarter.
