soulcleavers summit feels like what Staff should have been originally .

 

they fit together well. Staff damage is so low, and high energy cost, and the healing is just so weak along side the defensive abilities of Staff, just doesnt compensate without decent healing element. soulcleavers summit does that role well for solo gameplay with staff.

Staff without a damage boost, need more suitability. More healing.

But staff is actually really powerful, the 5 skill is arguably the best CC in the entire game.

And if the other 4 skills were removed entirely, you wouldn't think any different about it <-- the problem with staff, right there

 

If anything, a "CC weapon" should have 4-5 skills (not sure about the AA chain) doing CC, in sum they do a lot.
