No, Mr. Lexicomane, you basically said play in your prime time or don't play at all.

 

HoD has always had a large EU presence. They don't spawn camp and intentionally WP keeps to farm the opposing teams spawn while not bothering to defend their home BL.

So, you WP'ed The team who held your keep's Garry then? If their BL was 'un-defended' that should have been an easy thing to do.

 

Sorry you got dragged into T-1 against your will and were unable to tank your score enough the week before to stay in T-2.

I wouldn't mind some new mechanics to help reclaim keeps though. Like siege razer and siege crusher.....not sure if those even exist anymore or got removed, but their spawn times could be much faster and more frequent. Or there could be a siege razer for attacking the keep directly from spawn, might be a whole meta event that happens after x amount of time. If they own the keep for 24 hours for example, something extreme, I think it would be cool to have a meta event happen where some kind of pve happens that gives you a very real chance to reclaim said keep. Or what if siege crusher and razer upon successfully retaking mendons/veloka then attacked the front of overlook TOGETHERRR in an epic siege! That would be tons of fun for everyone, and there would be 2 chances to stop it from happening by clearing either group at mendons/veloka. I think that would be great.

 

Similarly I'd be fine with more tower-yak dynamics. So for example maybe any yaks passing by mendons or veloka are actually killed unless they are escorted or the guards of the towers are wiped out. This would make things more interesting and give more strategy to the whole "corner occupation" thing. I mean when mag owns our overlook we can often retake mendons/vel and the outer towers......but that's cause they don't defend them generally. And they don't defend them cause we don't gain anything by owning them really other than ppt...which is offset by ppk and the ppt of our keep (points lost from not owning a t3 keep, and points given to the enemy for owning a t1/t2/t3 keep).

 

Or anything strategic like those ideas I'd be fine with. More depth the better. I'm all for more ways to counterplay.

There was a VERY good reason they didnt use the two other exits because maguuma was feeding them easy participation. they remained on t6 participation and got their pips and reward tracks. They were getting all of the rewards of WvW without ever having to run back from spawn. They just kinda rolled with it. hell i watched them throw 500 rams in the open field over the course of 20 minutes for the lulz. if they wanted to they could have taken a camp then a tower then used that to treb the keep. but they didnt want to because then they would have to actually play.
