Dragonhunter PvE build GS/LB?

Hi everyone :)

 

I am a little clueless when it comes to creating a good build for my Dragonhunter(ok ok...actually, I am VERY clueless. I just play and hope not to die much). I enjoy fighting with greatsword and longbow and I don't want to change that. I would like to stick to those weapons even though I've read that other weapons may be better.

 

I tried to search for tutorials for Dragonhunter builds but most of them are either very old or made for raids or fractals or for different weapons. Is there an existing guide somewhere that I just didn't find?

 

I thought this build sounds nice, but I am not sure if it's a good PvE solo build?

I have so many questions...

 

1. Which equipment should I try to get? At the moment I only have armor and weapons that I somehow got through luck? xD Nothing special, really. I would like to start getting great gear like ascended or legendary.

 

2. Which stats and sigil/runes are the most important for my DH?

 

3. Which specializations should I choose beside Dragonhunter? Zeal..and? Or something completly different? But Zealous Blade from the zeal specialisation sounds really useful?

 

4. Are my skills good like that? I chose:

- Signet of Resolve

- Test of Faith

- Procession of Blades

- Bane Signet

- elite: Mistfire Wolf

 

I am a little overwhelmed with all the choices I have and I don't know which way to go. I would like to do great damage and have an easy time in PvE. I've read there's a difference between damage builds and condition builds? Did I get that right? What`s better? Oh man, I am really clueless..The game is really forgiving. I don't know how else I made it this far in the game xD

Yeah i would also like to know this. This game has is so much more complex then for example WoW with regards to do builds and gear. It can be both exciting and annoying at the same time =) By Pve solo do you mean running around in the world or do you want to solo dungeons ? In you link there was actually another link to a solo build, but that one seemed to be focused around soloing dungeons (?)

No, I meant that I am roaming around the open world solo most of the time. I need to survive on my own :) Raid builds etc are meant for people who benefit from other classes boons because they play in a group, or am I wrong?

GS + S/F and GS + LB if i can't stay in melee range.

quit simple and powerful. lay traps and enemies get slowed. that means you do more damage.

Gear : Full ascended Zerk Gear. Legendary GS, ascended Sword and ascended LB. Focus only exotic :-/

you have a gap closer, 2 blinds, a block and reg.

you can get more dps with zepter+torch but i don't like both and openword sometimes you need more defence utilities
