Our guests for the November ArenaNet Forum Chat will be members of the ArenaNet Audio Team. Audio Team members help bring Guild Wars 2 to life through sound effects and music. From combat effects to ambient sounds, from main theme music to holiday tunes, the audio team’s contributions enrich our gaming experience in innumerable ways.

The November AFC subforum will open on Monday, November 26, and remain open for a week, closing on Monday, December 3. Audio Team members may continue to answer questions or add comments after that time, as their schedules allow, so check back in this subforum from time to time. I will try to post a list of participants when the AFC begins, but you'll recognize those involved by their fashionable red "ArenaNet Hats" as well. :D

If you’re curious about how a sound was created, what inspired a certain piece of music, who did what on a certain project, or what inspired team members to become audio artists, we hope you’ll join in to ask questions and share your thoughts about all things Guild Wars 2 audio.

A few guidelines:

* Please post no more than 3 questions in a single thread.

* Please maintain a positive and constructive tone.

* Please use a *meaningful* title. Not "I've been wondering" but things like "About [this effect] [that music] [those sounds]."

Hope to see you the week of November 26, 2018, for our Audio Team AFC!

The November AFC featuring the Audio/Sound Team is now open. Allow me to introduce the participants:

* Chris Burgess – Sound Designer. Specializes in sound design and mixing for all in-game and marketing cinematics

* Drew Cady – Audio Director. 2nd sound person to work on GW2 – he’s seen it all!

* Jason Wolford – Lead Sound Designer. Our newest team member – you’ll hear his contributions soon…

* Joseph Clark – Sound Designer. Audio point of contact for the MTX, RCT & Fractal releases, as well as Episode 4

* Katelyn Isaacson – Associate Sound Designer. Contributed to LW maps and events, backing vocals on FNTN

* Maclaine Diemer – Composer. All the new music, plus lead vocals on FNTN

* And a few others may also join in, as their schedules allow.

Please take a look at the posting tips above, and let's *hear* (pun intended) your questions for the team!

Thanks to everyone who participated in our AFC for November/December. We appreciate all the great questions and comments, and it was terrific to see so many members of the Audio Team join in!

The team may be able to respond to a question or comment in the upcoming days, but we'll close this subforum to member input at this time.

Thanks again!
