Suggestion: A fix for Minion Master and Death Magic

For the next Elite Specialization, the devs could remove the majority of MM skills and traits and create a dedicated MM ES. This would free up traits and skills to fill in some of the class's shortcomings like defense, which Death Magic is supposed to be focused on. Death Magic and new base skills could give new life to core Necro. A dedicated MM trait would also provide a lot of room to add in all the things that could make MM viable.

As a replacement for minion skills, I propose a group of skills called something like Fatalities. Most of these skills have some kind of main ability or attack (some power some poison) and has a second effect if the target either falls below a health threshold within a certain time say 2-3 seconds or is downed.

My main point has been made above. If you're not fond of reading skill suggestions STOP NOW.

Some ideas for new Fatality skills. NOTE Not balanced at all. Numbers are very adjustable. Also, some of the skill features may be better off as trait enhancements:

Linked Fate

½ Activation time 30 Recharge time

Mark target Foe with Linked Fate. If your health is below the threshold within the duration, the target takes additional damage and is poisoned. If you are downed, the target is also stunned.

Health Threshold: 50%

Poison (6s): 201 Damage, -33% Heal Effectiveness

Self Poison (6s): 201 Damage, -33% Heal Effectiveness

Additional Damage:1200

Additional Poison: Poison (6s): 603 Damage, -33% Heal Effectiveness

Stun: 2 seconds

Range: 1,200

Unblockable

Duration: 3s

Death Shield

½ Activation time 30 Recharge time

Provides protection for you and nearby allies. Any opponents hitting you while below the health threshold are feared and poisoned.

Health Threshold: 50%

Protection (6s): -33% Incoming Damage

Fear (1s): Involuntary retreat; unable to act; stacks duration.

Poison (6s): 202 Damage, -33% Heal Effectiveness

Duration: 3s

Breaks Stun

Death Stalker

½ Activation time 30 Recharge time

Send out a homing missile to strike a target. Upon a successful strike, the opponent is marked for death. Summon a Deathly Horror (like a jagged horror with poison and better health) attacking the opponent marked for death if they fall below the health threshold during the duration. Activating secondary skill teleports you to the minion destroying it.

Damage: 330 (0.6)?

Range: 1200

Health Threshold: 75%

Duration: 5 seconds

An elite could be called Final Destination:

Final Destination

½ Activation time 60 Recharge time Ground-targeted

Poison and mark all foes in the target area for Final Destination. If any of the marked foes are struck below the health threshold during the duration, all are feared and receive additional damage.

Damage: 375

Poisoned (5s): 570 Damage, -33% Heal Effectiveness

Health Threshold: 33%

Additional Poisoned (2s): 268 Damage, -33% Heal Effectiveness

Additional Damage: 675

Fear (2s): Involuntary retreat; unable to act; stacks duration.

Number of Targets: 5

Radius: 480

Combo Field: Poison

Range: 900

Unblockable

Duration: 3s
