phs.6089
Share your knowledge of food and utilities for new players, that don't have much to spend on Trading Post. I'll go with Sandswept Isles https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Atholma_Farms , https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Malor This charr has 3 Recepie, condi damage, healing, and power. Thunderhead Peek, Corsair heart vendor Sayida has power utility to offer. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sayida_the_Sly P.S. Next time I see you new guys in fractals with no food or utility. Imma kick you not so sorry arses back to LA <
Illconceived Was Na.9781
The wiki offers a good tool now to find alternatives for food. `/wiki food` from inside the game and click on [Filter parameters](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Food#Filter_parameters) in the table of contents (or just scroll down; it's the first section). Unfortunately, you have to click on the foods to find out their TP and/or vendor prices (and each crafted food has a tool to show the cost of its components). For example, if you want food suitable for a power DPS build, you might click on `Level 80` + `Power` + `Precision`, which offers 3 options. Choose `Ferocity` instead of `Precision` and there's just one option. There are budget foods if you choose `Level 60-80`.

I think there is way too much cost/effort required for such a meager stat increase, especially for newer players, so while I also expect people to use food/utility in groups, I would never expect them to always use the best available. If the boss didn't die while I was using https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Plate_of_Orrian_Steak_Frittes I seriously doubt it was going to die had I been using https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bowl_of_Sweet_and_Spicy_Butternut_Squash_Soup instead, but my wallet sees the difference. I just use my food from [Portable Provisioner](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Permanent_Portable_Provisioner "Portable Provisioner")... I'm THAT cheap.
