WvW has gone a long way from where is was originally, and Anet deserves the negative expectations. They've lost touch with WvW even before HoT, but the expacs were the worst, mostly due to breaking whatever balance there was. This meta is absolute garbage, the map "improvements" have only made things worse, and instead of working out the glaring issues players talk about they give us THIS giant turd of a mount that nobody asked for. Yes, the balance team is separate from the WvW team (has been for a while, which is part of the problem), but maybe it's about time to finally wake up. Anet, you have lost over half your core players since HoT (at least in WvW), you have just lost over 1/4 of your employees, and you are facing imminent doom as NCSoft is getting ready to finally gobble you up for good.
