Charr civilisation outside of Ascalon?

In the game we mostly see Black Citadel ruled by Iron Legion. But it's not like other legions are not present at all. Where are their main bases of operation located? Are Charr currently residing in Ascalon as we see them in Gw2 "the" Charr present in the world right now? What about ['blood legion homelands' ](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Blood_Legion_Homelands "'blood legion homelands' ")? What do we know about what is happening in other Charr territories during the events of gw2? Are these territories isolated lore-wise or we just don't get to see what is happening so far on the outskirts of the game map where game just doesn't take us?

Bangar Ruinbringer [is stated](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Legions_of_the_Charr) to rule Blood territory from east of the Blazeridge, so that would mean that the Blood Citadel, capital of the Blood Legion, would thus be east of the Blazeridge (_"East, across the Blazeridge Mountains, Imperator Bangar Ruinbringer controls the lands of the Blood Legion."_).

 

We don't know where Ash Legion territory is, but presumably Blood Legion territory spans from north of Ascalon (aka Iron) and Flame territory, eastward, and a bit southward. It's probable that Ash territory is south or further east of Blood territory; if the former, that puts it potentially bordering Dzalana. I was told, though I was unable to verify, that there is dialogue where an Ash legion charr says their territory is "close" to Ebonhawke, supporting that it's south of Blood Territory.

 

They're not isolated at all, though the Dragonbrand and Blazeridge Mountains (aka ogre territory) would make it hard to traverse from one to the other; we don't know of any asura gates leading to the Blood Citadel but it'd be unlikely there aren't any. Also, Rytlock for example came from the Blood Citadel before the events of 1320; similarly, during Season 1 there was dialogue about sending Molten Alliance prisoners to the Blood Citadel where they'd be "[properly punished](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rox:_Avenger_of_the_Dispossessed)", which suggests the Blood Citadel still has slave camps or some such, but does suggest that traversal is manageable even post-Dragonbrand forming, otherwise they wouldn't be taking multiple prisoners that way.

 

The place labeled "Blood Legion Homelands" on the world map, originally simply called "Charr Homelands" in GW1, was visited in Eye of the North, and was where the Flame Legion's imperator was residing during the course of the early war. The Flame Citadel was at some point placed at Hrangmer, probably shortly after GW1 due to the fact that humans [had a reach north of that area](https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/The_Gaban_estate) before the Searing.

Thanks for the reply. It's great how much of the world and lore there is outside of area and story available in the game.

Just like the Olmakhan, we'll know about them when we get there.
