BurningThunder.3097
So I am thinking of trying something new on my main human ranger. I want to try something similar to a dragoon (somewhat inspired by final fantasy types) since we have wyvern pets and melding with them. Generally these use spears in melee and have heavy armor, clearly spears are out but we do have some armor that looks heavier then most medium. Anyone have any ideas for armor/weapons that would kind of fit this theme? I am also considering using the crystalline wings backpack item to go with it,but open to suggestions. Diak Atoli.2085
If your version of 'heavy looking' includes plate armor, I'd recommend the Glorious Armor series. Otherwise, the Ascalonian Sentry and Ornate Guild armor look pretty heavy to me, and Bladed armor is... Bladed.
Chrury.4627
A quick google makes me think you might be able to get away with the base ascended helmet skin. I can't get in-game to have a look ATM. Weapon options, there are some long swords you could look into as well as some thin greatswords. Check out the [Merciless Weapons](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Merciless_weapon_skins "https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Merciless_weapon_skins") in particular. That seems to match your idea.
