style.6173
There is only one person working on WvW these days. As long as that one person wasn't impacted, you'll still receive the twice a year updates on alliances being in the distant future.

Straegen.2938
I think the GW2 team is near the same size as when they released. Layoffs are part of the development cycle and industry as a whole. Some companies handle it better than others and this one seems necessary at least from the outside looking in. biczkowski.2961
Just stop and think for a moment: Do alliances sound like they would generate revenue? If yes: most likely not on hold. If no: cancelled.
msalakka.4653
I don't think we'll notice a difference in the speed at which things get fixed or improved.
gebrechen.5643
I feel really sad for the people losing their jobs, because I know how hard that can be. But I don't think GW2 is going anywhere soon. The mount delay is logical when you have to restructure your teams and why should we really care if we had to wait a week a longer? I mean delays are quite normal in all branches of all industries. And this is an expected delay. GW2 makes Anet and NCSoft money and that's what the gaming industry (sadly) is about these days. Just have a look at Activision Blizzard. They made more money in 2018 than ever before and they lay off 8% of their employees. And I really don't see anything Anet or NCSoft have on the western market that is as successful as GW2. I think the game will be fine for a while.
